چکیده

Sysiphus, a suite of tools developed at the Technische Universität München [3,1], enables users to develop and share system models and to discuss, justify, and collaborate within the same environment. On the one hand, users create model elements (e.g., use cases, subsystem decompositions, class models, test specifications) and organize them into documents. On the other hand, they discuss models informally using discussion threads, extract design decisions into more formal rationales, and plan and track their work using action items. Discussion threads, rationales, and action items are linked to the relevant model elements, capturing the context in which decisions are made. The originality of sysiphus is that it puts equal importance on system modeling, collaboration, and rationale.

Fine-grained Software Configuration Management for the Sysiphus Unified Software Engineering Model

Software con guration management is widely accepted today as an essential factor for the success of any software development project. Many di erent types of artifacts are created and need to be managed during the life cycle of a software project. These range from source code to requirements, analysis and design documents and models, test cases and collaboration artifacts such as captured ration...

Electricity Load Forecasting by Combining Adaptive Neuro-fuzzy Inference System and Seasonal Auto-Regressive Integrated Moving Average

Nowadays, electricity load forecasting, as one of the most important areas, plays a crucial role in the economic process. What separates electricity from other commodities is the impossibility of storing it on a large scale and cost-effective construction of new power generation and distribution plants. Also, the existence of seasonality, nonlinear complexity, and ambiguity pattern in electrici...

Towards Software Configuration Management for Unified Models

Change occurs throughout the software lifecycle. Software Configuration Management tools and techniques provide the foundation to effectively control change. With a growing number of approaches combining models from different domains into one unified, integrated model ([15], [12]), there is also an emerging demand for SCM techniques and methods that are able to support these unified models. Tra...

Extending Enterprise Architecture Modeling Languages for Domain Specificity and Collaboration: Application to Telecommunications Service Design

The competitive market forces organizations to be agile and flexible so as to react robustly to complex events. Modeling helps managing this complexity. However, in order to model an enterprise, many stakeholders, with different expertise, must work together and take decisions. These decisions and their rationale are not always captured explicitly, in a standard, formal manner. The main problem...

Consistent Object-Oriented Modeling of System Dynamics with State-Based Collaboration Diagrams

This paper introduces the new state-based collaboration diagrams. This new diagram type will solve two problems: First it will lead to a consistent description of the reactive behavior of a system – second it will allow the simultaneous modeling of reactive and transformational system behavior. This new diagram type is an advantageous combination of two wellknown UML diagrams, namely of the int...
